The Voltage Control Relay (VCR) isolates the two batteries until the start
battery reaches a voltage of 13.2V then it connects to allow charging of the auxiliary battery.
If the start battery drops to a voltage of 12.8V then the VCR will isolate the
batteries to ensure the start battery is left with adequate power to start-up the
vehicle. When the engine is switched off the VCR will isolate the batteries to
ensure that your appliances draw power from the auxiliary battery only.
The 160 VCR is hardy and can charge a larger amperage battery. It IP68 splash and dust protected which makes it ideal for creek crossings.
